The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) serves as a prominent example in successful fundraising initiatives within higher education. As a leading research university focused on health sciences, UCSF embarked on its largest campaign in history, aiming to raise $5 billion. A3+ was engaged to create a comprehensive design system and communications strategy to support this ambitious effort.
Our approach included developing a cohesive campaign name and identity system, a standards manual, and crafting an extensive and compelling case statement. We produced a suite of multimedia materials, brochures, one-sheets, and invitations, along with a comprehensive website dedicated to the campaign. We rounded off the work with a campaign kick-off event and designed everything right down to the napkins.
The combination of intelligent design and a successful, targeted strategy, created a major fundraising success. The initiative exceeded the campaign goal of 5BL in less than 2 years.
